TalkingParents is here to help you coordinate more seamlessly, set boundaries, and focus on what matters most: your children. All messages and read receipts are timestamped, allowing you to see when your co-parent sent or viewed a message. Accountable Calling: Make phone and video calls, complete with recordings and transcripts, without ever having to share your phone number. Shared Calendar: Manage custody schedules and your child’s appointments and activities all on a Shared Calendar that both parents can access. Create single events for things like doctor’s appointments and repeating events for your child’s extracurriculars and custody transition days. Accountable Payments: Make payment requests and securely send or receive money, allowing you to keep track of all shared parenting expenses. Requests and payments are timestamped, and you can also schedule monthly recurring payments. Info Library: Share important details about the kids with customizable cards that both parents can access without having to contact each other. Whether it’s in-person discussions with your co-parent or child behavior observances, journal entries are just for you and can include up to five attachments. Vault File Storage: Store photos, videos, and important documents. Your Vault cannot be accessed by your co-parent, but you may choose to share files with any third party by copying or emailing a link, which can be set to expire. You can also download files to your device. Unalterable Records: All interactions within TalkingParents are stored to Unalterable Records that are trusted by legal professionals and accepted in courtrooms nationwide. Each Record includes a Digital Signature and unique 16-digit Authentication Code that verifies the Record is genuine and has not been modified in any way. PDF and Printed Records are available for Secure Messaging, Accountable Calling, Shared Calendar, Accountable Payments, Info Library, and Personal Journal. FAQs: Do I have to be on the same plan as my co-parent? No, you can communicate through TalkingParents no matter what plan your co-parent is on. We offer four different plans—Free, Essentials, Enhanced, or Ultimate. (Free users do not have access to the mobile app.) Is TalkingParents court-monitored? No, though Unalterable Records are court-admissible and can be used as evidence in family law cases, no one monitors interactions between you and your co-parent. This is for the privacy of our users. Can I change plans? Yes, TalkingParents offers monthly subscriptions that make it easy to modify your plan at any time. If you don’t think your needs will change throughout the year, we also offer annual plans that include a 16% discount. Can my account be deleted? No, TalkingParents does not allow the deletion of accounts once created and matched. This ensures that neither co-parent can remove an account and clear messages, call records, or other details within the service. https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

  • Slowest app/tech ever

It’s a joke how slow this app is…I have complained and reached out to their support and all I get is “do you have the latest version?” Give me a break. Yes, of course that is the first step anyone takes in troubleshooting. If you like waiting for a looooong time to see your messages, this service is for you!
  • Overpriced

Can’t believe I had to pay for this garbage. Sometimes the app takes five minutes to load. And if you’re “coparent” doesn’t use a paid version, they won’t even know you’re sending them a message unless they check their emails.

My ex uses the premium version and some how she was able to read the messages without it showing me her read receipts making her able to use this to her advantage.

Video chat feature is useless. My side of video is Smacked right in the middle of chat & I can’t even see my child’s face. !!!

I’ve been subscribed to this app for four years. It was basic, but functional. However, about a month ago, they rolled out a very big updated version. It has a slightly better look and feel - but at the cost of not working. Basic functionality has been lost - THE ONLY REASON I PAY TO USE THIS APP HAS BEEN BROKEN!! Now: *I don’t always get notified when I get new messages *It often takes up to three minutes for the app to load *Sometimes the app refuses to load at all *New messages don’t show up and I only find them after I coincidentally reopen the app for another reason FOCUS ON BASIC FUNCTIONALITY AND QA - FIX YOUR APP!!!

I got the app thinking it was fee and going to help with co-parenting. The app is technically not free. To use the app at all both parents have to pay. If you do use the free version you have to use the web browser and only get notifications through email. The app is more inconvenient than anything else. There is no point for the app if everything free has to be done through the web browser. I’ve honestly just found it as more of a hassle than anything else.

This app is full of bugs. It constantly logs out automatically, crashes, drops calls, and often doesn’t send notifications when someone is calling. I’ve been using it for over a year and it doesn’t seem like the developers are interested in making the app better.

I think there should not be any advertising on this APP. Profiting from conflict is unethical
  • Expensive

Too expensive for what you get. Slow, crashes, logs you out frequently, cannot see attachments from the app, does not refresh new messages, notifications have no preview, etcetera. The only good feature is the shared calendar, which you can have with another apps way cheaper than this one. This app should be like 1.99 per month for what you get.
